Carol Joan Bachand

DOVER - Carol Joan Bachand passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018.
Mrs. Bachand was born March 11, 1947 in Dover to the late James E. Brown and Evelyn Bloom Brown.
Carol was a life-long caregiver and worked locally in several facilities. She was dedicated to her residents and treated them all as her family.
Carol was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion.
She is survived by her husband of eight years, Ronald Bachand of Dover; son, John Derrickson Armstrong (Jose), of Hollister, Calif.; daughters, Sylvia Genevieve Armstrong of Smyrna, Ann Marie Jones of Dover, and Tina Louise Jones (Shannon) of Dover; grandchild, Eric Kivler; and step children, Ronald "JR" Bachand (Myrtle), James Bachand, Hank Jones and Marie Jones.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call 1 hour prior. Interment will be Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 at Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the caring staff of Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 407, Newark, DE 19713.
