FELTON - Carol Ann Ellis Dill passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
Carol was born January 21, 1947 in Dover, Delaware to Nelson Ellis and Virginia Short. She graduated from Felton High School.
For 10-12 years she ran a home daycare in Canterbury. Later she retired from Kent County as Chief Deputy of Register of Wills. She was a life member of First Southern Baptist Church (now known as Cornerstone Church) in Dover. Carol enjoyed camping, especially at Holiday Park in Greensboro, Md., as well as traveling the country, and making lots of memories with family and friends. She could often be found attending many of the local gospel concerts as well as the Delaware State Fair.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Ellis.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Walter Dill of Felton; son, Douglas of Texas; daughter, Barbara Henry and her husband Kevin of Ohio; grandsons, Kyle and Jay Henry; sisters, Linda Short and her husband John Wayne of Milford and Charlene Short of Lincoln; brother, David Ellis and his wife Lynn of Alabama; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Thank you to Delaware Hospice, and a special thank you to Janice Altman and Susan Shoemaker for their exceptional care and dedication.
Services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2020 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (RT.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening. Interment will be at Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
