FELTON - Carol A. Moore, of Felton, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, in the Milford Center. She was 77. She was born on Jan. 20, 1932, the youngest child of the late Elizabeth S. and Edwin C. Thomas Sr. Mrs. Moore graduated from Dover high School in 1951. She was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Dover. Later she worked in the family business at the William Moore Insurance Agency in Felton. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Felton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Felton United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, John E. "Eddie" Moore who died Nov. 26, 2008; and a brother, Edwin C. Thomas Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Richard Wilson of Frederica; grandchildren, Cory Lee Ballinger and his wife Cara of Ft. Bragg, N.C., Andrew Thomas Wilson and Sara-Katherine Elizabeth Wilson both of Frederica; great-grandsons, Kevin and Jordan Massro; step-grandsons, A. Nicholas Bahrman-Wilson and his wife Kristina, and Matthew R. Bahrman-Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Roy E. Thomas and his wife Judy of Avondale, Pa.; a brother-in-law, James W. Moore of Felton; sisters-in-law, Musetta Cox Hausler of Harrington and Mary Thomas of Dover; four nephews and four nieces; and her roommate at the Milford Center, Edna Salles. The family wishes to extend their thanks and sincere gratitude to the staff of the Milford Center. Our heartfelt thanks will never be enough to repay you for all your care and love. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Felton United Methodist Church, 101 E. main Street, Felton, DE 19943. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
