MILFORD - Carlisle Watson Hall Jr., died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, in Lifecare at Lofland Park, Seaford. He was 83. Mr. Hall was born in Milford, the son of the late Carlisle W. and Mildred Hall. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He later joined the Delaware Army National Guard. Mr. Hall was an electrician in the maintenance department at L. D. Caulk in Milford for 40 years, before retiring in 1987. He was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church, Milford and was a member of Temple Masonic Lodge 9 of Milford. Mr. Hall was an avid collector of many things. He worked at Glenn Watson's Auctions in Milford and had a table at several antique flea markets throughout Sussex County. He loved woodcarving especially carving decoys and carving Santa Clauses for him and his wife to sell. Both he and his wife Mary Ellen enjoyed bird watching together. He also enjoyed metal detecting and was actively involved with ham radios. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ellen Hall; two daughters, Wendy H. Embleton and her husband Jerry, of Milford and Holly Lynn Barker, of Dover; and four grandchildren, Kyle Adam Bradley, Haley Lynne Embleton, Rebecca Barker, and James Barker. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to either The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780, New York, N.Y. 10008-0780; or to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care of Delaware, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
