Carl Bruce Faulkner, 69

CLAYTON - Carl Bruce Faulkner, of Clayton, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at home. He was 69. Mr. Faulkner was born Dec. 7, 1939, in Dover, the son of the late Roland and Mary Faulkner. Bruce worked as a Union Carpenter for over 30 years with the Local 626 Union. He was also the owner of White Oak Subdivision in Clayton, Delaware and had worked for Playtex in Dover for 10 years. Bruce was a Mason of the Harmony Lodge 13 in Smyrna. He enjoyed taking rides in his 1949 Ford and loved watching cowboy movies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. He is survived by two sons, Bruce Faulkner, Jr. of Hartly, and Kenneth Faulkner and his wife Barbara of Milford; two daughters, Kathy Parramore and her husband Kenny of Hartly, and Karen Spencer and her husband Kenny of Dover; two sisters, Bertha Laurel Moffett and Cardella Julia Rodenhieser; and nine grandchildren. A viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday Aug. 27, in the Faries Funeral Chapel located at 29 South Main Street, Smyrna. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 28, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 South Main Street, Smyrna.
