CAMBRIDGE — Cambridge-South Dorchester High School class of 2015 began performing the musical “Damn Yankees” on Thursday in the C-SDHS auditorium. Show times are tonight at 7 p.m.; Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. All tickets are $10.

Set in the late 1950s, the play centers around an aging baseball fan who makes a deal with the devil in order to lead his favorite team to victory over the New York Yankees. Based on the book, “The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant” by former Oxford resident Douglas Wallop, “Damn Yankees” holds up as a Broadway classic with great songs, comic dialogue and even a little romance.

This year’s production features a talented cast of actors, singers and dancers who bring this remarkable story to life. The C-SD class of 2015 has worked diligently to create believable characters and great song and dance numbers that are sure to entertain any audience.

“Damn Yankees” marks the 30th C-SD Senior Class Play directed by the team of Mike James and Donna James.
