GEORGETOWN - Calvin C. Shehan, Jr., passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Christiana Hospital. Calvin was born in Altoona, Pa. to Claire (Wiser) Shehan and the late Calvin C. Shehan, Sr. He had worked as a concrete contractor and was a veteran of the US Navy. In addition to his mother, Calvin is survived by a son: Curtis Shehan; Curtis' mother, Susan Shehan; a daughter, Misty Dawn Dobson Holtzman; one grandson; two step-children: Zach Moore and Kortney Hassler, and their mother, Tricia Shehan; four siblings: Alice Skinner, Steve Shehan, Sandy Shehan and Trudy Hopper; his dearest and best friend who was like a brother, Mike Wolanski; and a host of extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested contributions to Citizen Bank for a college fund being established for Curtis, or to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
