BRIDGEVILLE — A 44-year-old Bridgeville man was arrested for DUI and felony drug charges following a traffic stop Sunday, police said.

Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said that, at approximately 5:08 p.m., a trooper on patrol observed a white Nissan Murano traveling north on Coverdale Road, north of Fisher Circle. The vehicle was found to have a suspended registration.

The trooper stopped the Murano and contacted the driver, Kyleef Watts. The officer smelled burnt marijuana and observed signs of impairment with Mr. Watts, Cpl. DeMalto said.

The driver was taken into custody for DUI, and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 385.74 grams of marijuana.

Mr. Watts was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 quantity, driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to have insurance identification in possession and canceled registration.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on his own recognizance.
