Brenda Diane Waterfield, 57 SMYRNA - Brenda Diane Waterfield, of Smyrna, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Kent General Hospital in Dover. She was 57. Mrs. Waterfield was born Dec. 30, 1952, in Newport News, Va., the daughter of the late Hartsell Buchanan and Myrtle Freeman Buchanan of Smyrna. She enjoyed working as a manager for Modern Maturity Center in Peach Circle in Smyrna. Mrs. Waterfield was an Elvis fan, and enjoyed working with the elderly and going to antique car shows. She liked flowers and working in her garden, and enjoyed shopping, especially at Wal Mart. She is survived by her husband, William C. Waterfield; a son, Robert L. Waterfield of Smyrna; two brothers, Robert Allen Buchanan of Bear, and Billie R. Buchanan of Blackbird; and extended family members. Funeral services will be Friday, June 25, 2010, at noon in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
