CLAYTON - Bonnie Sue Flowers, of Clayton, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at Kent General Hospital in Dover. She was 63. Ms. Flowers was born on Nov. 13, 1947, in St. Claire, Mich., the daughter of the late Clifford and Dora Sutton. She retired after over 40 years of work as a Controller in the Automotive Industry. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved treating herself and anyone who would go with her to Dairy Queen. She also enjoyed trips to Lancaster, Pa., for fish and chips and to see the leaves change color with her sister. Another enjoyment was traveling and taking cruises to see the world. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Wendy Fratto of Hollywood, Fla., Stephanie Flowers of Clayton, and Kristy Flowers-Downward and her husband, Earl of Clayton; two sons, Phil Dyer and his wife Crystal of Smyrna, and Richie Dyer and his wife, Judy also of Smyrna; three brothers, Bill, Dave, and Tom; and her sister and BFF, Vicki of Smyrna; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; and many loving friends and adopted family. Celebration of life services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at 6:30 p.m., in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
