SMYRNA — Tyler Edwards of Sanford netted 19 points and A.I. DuPont’s Sydney Hilliard added 17 as the Blue downed the Gold, 105-78, in the girls’ basketball Blue-Gold All-Star Game on Saturday afternoon at Smyrna.
The contest, which is put together by the Delaware Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association, features the top senior players in the state.
Edwards was named the game MVP. Hodgson’s Thailys Torres (12), Tatnall’s Claire Watson (11), St. Elizabeth’s Ericka Huggins (11) and Archmere’s Lucy Oliver (10) also scored in double figures for the Blue, which includes players from New Castle County.
The Gold squad, which was made up mostly of Henlopen Conference players, got a team-high 17 points from Woodbridge. Maleyah Bell of Sussex Tech added nine points.
Odessa’s Delaney Burroughs finished second in the three-point shooting contest.
