Betty Marie Heller MILFORD - Betty Marie Heller passed away December 21, 2023, at the Hospice Center in Milford, Delaware.
Born October 1, 1932, in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Josephine (Lucas) and Kirwin F. Wilbur, Sr.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank R. Wilbur and Kirwin F. Wilbur, Jr.; great grandsons, Jeremy McHenry and Abel Heller; and son-in-law, Rick Carmean.
Betty is survived by her husband of 68 years, David S. Heller; son, Jeffrey Heller (Donna); daughters, Dawn Pritchett (Gregory), Allyson Chiprowski (Tom) and Michelle Carmean; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; sister, Jean J. Mayhew; brother-in-law, Paul Heller; and many nieces and nephews.
After her children reached their teenage years, Betty enrolled in a four-year program at Delaware State College, earning a B.S. degree in Agriculture. Upon graduation, she was employed as a Sanitarian by the State of Delaware, Division of Public Health until her retirement in 1991.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy. Dover, DE 19901.
