Betty Mae Jones

MILLINGTON, Md. - Betty Mae Jones of Millington, Md., died Friday evening, Oct. 21, 2011, in the Chester River Manor Nursing Home, Chestertown, Md. She was 83. Mrs. Jones was born in Millington, Md. the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Maude Legg Baker, She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jones was a graduate of the Millington High School; she then in November of 1948 married her sweetheart Charles W. Jones Sr. and for 62yrs was happily married until his death in 1997. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Millington VFW Post 652 and the American Legion Post 192 of Millington. She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Jones enjoyed painting, and counted cross stitch. Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, June Kathleen Ruth of Crumpton and Mary Carolyn Piasaki of Kennedyville; two sons, Charles William "Billy" Jones Jr. of Millington and Robert Earl Jones of Milford, Del.; eight grandchildren, Lori Renee Marino of Florida, Angela Lynn Hurlock of Crumpton, Donna Mae Ruth, of Chestertown, Crystal June Ruth of Wyoming, Del., Tasha Marie Cornelius of Chestertown, Kaitlyn Nicole Piasaki Kennedyville, Isaac Earl Jones and Charles Richard Jones both of Delaware and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday Oct. 26, 2011, in the Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St. Millington, Md. where friends and family may call 1 hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Asbury Cemetery, Millington, Md.
