GREENWOOD - Betty L. Elliott passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at her home. Born Aug. 12, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ida Liden and Everett Passwaters. She received her elementary education in Denton, Md., and graduated from Denton High School. Having held several positions prior to her marriage, she and her husband raised chickens for over 50 years. She loved watching the Baltimore Orioles, traveling, her church, which was Bloomery United Methodist Church where she was a member, and watching wrestling on TV. She and her family loved family dinners at her house, where she played the role of head cook. Her husband, the late Robert R. Elliott passed away March 28, 2006. All of her siblings predeceased her. She is survived by two children, her daughter, Teresa Shea (Gene Robinson), of Greenwood and son, Keith Elliott (Gloria), of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Danny Shea, Brittany Elliott, Tara Shea, and Ashley Reynolds; and one God-daughter, Amy Shea; five great-grandchildren, Trey, Hunter, Addison, Dylan, and Abigail; her beloved niece, Maggie Zott, whom she raised; brother-in-law, Donald Tull; sister-in-law, Peggy Elliott; and many other nieces, nephews and family members. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Williamson Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Federalsburg, Md., with Rev. Marie Coulborne officiating.
