Betty Jane Nichols, 81 GEORGETOWN - Betty Jane Nichols, formerly of Milton and Harbeson, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010, in Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown. She was 81. Betty was a homemaker and many years ago had raised chickens. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Mumford, and Julia Warrington; three children whom she helped raise, Danny, Kenny and Freddie Moore; a sister, Ethel Smith; and two grandchildren. Two sisters preceded her in death, Ella Mae Drummond, and Constance Moore. A memorial service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, June 3, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown. As Betty Jane would have wanted, casual attire is welcomed.
