FELTON- Betty G. Glanden, 88, of Felton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016. Betty was born in Felton, Del., to the late Rix and Elsie (Hurd) Garey. She worked and volunteered for the Felton Vol. Fire Company. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira 'Jr' Glanden in March of 2016. She is survived by her children, Sandra Lee Furr, Garey and Lynn Glanden; sisters, Louise and Harry Fisher, Phyllis Hall; grandchildren, Tangey Rains, Kari Lynn Glanden, and Corinne Joy Glanden; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 from 11 a.m. – 12 noon in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton, DE 19943. In lieu of flowers donations in Betty's memory can be made to: Felton Fire Company, P.O. Box 946, Felton, DE 19943.
