Betty C. Garvilla, 67 PITTSVILLE, Md. - Betty C. Garvilla, formerly of Millsboro, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in her home. She was 67. Betty was born in Northumberland, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles and Betty Bardall Berkheimer. She was a graduate of Northumberland High School in Pennsylvania. She was a self-employed bookkeeper. She enjoyed traveling, photography and reading. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joseph B. Garvilla; one son, Michael J. Garvilla and his wife Beth of Georgetown; two sisters, Nancy Good and Barbara Young; one brother, Charles Berkheimer Jr., all of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren, Stacey, Julie and Joe Garvilla. A memorial service will be 12 noon Tuesday, March 16, 2010, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown. Burial will be private.
