Betty Ann Gordy, 70 BERLIN, Md. - Betty Ann Gordy, of Berlin, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin. She was 70. She was the daughter of the late Archie Bishop and Pearl Massey Bishop. Mrs. Gordy was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, Berlin. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting and loved puzzles. She also loved her cat Missy. She is survived by her husband, Robert Gordy; a son, Richard C. Lynch and his wife Yvonne of Knoxville, Tenn.; two daughters, Nancy Carey and her husband Addison of Millsboro and Sharon K. McClain and her husband Randy of Willards, Md.; three stepchildren, Richard L. Gordy, Vicky Daisey and her husband Michael and Lisa Mitchell and her husband Dean; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Edward Lynch; two brothers, Ralph Bishop and Melvin Bishop; and a grandchild, Addison Carey III. A private family viewing will be held. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, Libertytown. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home, Berlin.
