LEWES - Betty A. Schedivy passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehab Center in Lewes. Born in Milford, Del. on Feb. 1, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William Walls and Gertrude Walls. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Schedivy; and a daughter, Joan Maldonado. Mrs. Schedivy worked as an insurance underwriter for many years, she was a volunteer at the Milford Library, Milford Hospital and the Read Aloud Program. She also taught Sunday School for many years in the Presbyterian Church. Reading was her favorite pastime. Mrs. Schedivy is survived by her daughter, Carol Bradford and husband Robert of Lewes; brother, Edward Mclintock of Calif.; sister, Jeanette Harp of Pa.; grandchildren, Caroline Schneck and husband Kurt of Milford and Kristina Sterni and husband Scott of Budd Lake, N.J.; great grandchildren, Larysa, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Ashley and Dominic. A graveside service and interment were held 1 p.m. on Friday , Oct. 5, 2012, at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ.
