Betty A. Frazier
Betty A. Frazier went to the Lord on December 25th, 2023 while in her sleep.
She started her life born in Willow Grove, Delaware. She had an older sister Ethel and a younger brother Chris Jr. when her mother died at age 5. Her father Christopher Sr. took them to be raised by their grandmother for a year and he met and married a sweet young lady, Catherine, called Kit. She took on all three of his children and had 5 more. Later in 1947 she met the love of her life Henry Frazier and they married in 1948. She loved to cook, bake, watch Nascar and volunteer. Their first child Jo Ann was born in 1949 but it took 16 years to have her second child, Dena and son Hank. During those years she accomplished so much. She worked along with Frazier family at the Frazier Block company, took accounting classes and became a top level secretary. When Dena was born Betty decided to start a day care business taking on as many as 17 children with help from her sisters. Years later those children still remembered and loved her. In 1969 she was a charter member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge 203. She sat in each board chair including a Senior Regent and on up to Collegiate. In the late 70s her brother Pastor Jon Ford came to her house and asks if she and Henry would like to take Jesus into their hearts and go to heaven and said Yes. She worked many jobs in her life as secretary and typists including for state representatives and counselor to Delaware Eldercare.
When she retired she and Henry moved to her dream come true. Holiday Florida. There she also volunteered to help in the office of Tahitian Gardens. She updated their computer system, saving them thousands of dollars. During the 20 years living there she helped to replace all the old blacktop on the roads, replaced roofing on all the buildings and many small repairs including research to add fencing along the front of the development to make it more secure and a gated community.
She lost Henry in 2011 and in 2018 moved in with her daughter Jo Ann, husband Paul in Milford, DE for over 4 years until April of 2023. She moved into Harbor Healthcare and Rehab, Lewes, DE where is lived out her life enjoying the care of loving nurses.
