Bertha Virginia Macklin

Frederica - Bertha Virginia Macklin passed away Tuesday, Mar. 7, 2017, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Bertha was born, Nov. 24, 1917, in Lincoln, to the late Avery and Bessie Clendaniel. She had several jobs throughout her lifetime, but her most recent was as a quilter for Milford Stitching. She enjoyed crocheting afghans in her free time.
Bertha was a member of the Frederica Fire Company Ladies Auxilliary and the Frederica Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Roland and Harry Macklin, and Reba Williams; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Kehler.
Bertha is survived by her son, William Macklin and wife, Rita; two daughters, Virginia Schmick and husband, Alvin and Carol Gauker and husband, Edward; a brother, Joseph Clendaniel, of Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will take place 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Mar. 10, 2017, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where Funeral Services will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, Mar. 11, 2017. Burial will follow in Milford Community Cemetery.
