SMYRNA - Bernadette M. Thorpe, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, in her home. Bernadette had worked for K.F.C. in Smyrna for several years. She enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma (Satterfield) Guessford. Bernadette is survived by her father, Buck Guessford, with whom she resided; two children, Tyler & Kayla Thorpe, of Smyrna; a sister, Ellen Morgan, of Clayton; two nephews, Christopher Morgan & his wife, Kim, of Clayton and James Morgan & his fiancée Brenda Cox, of Smyrna; and her fiance' and soul mate, Richard Clarke, of Downs Chapel. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014, in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
