MILFORD - Beatrice V. Kniceley, 92, of Milford, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Milford Center in Milford, surrounded by her loving family. She is the daughter of the late Clarke and Edith Byrd Smith and graduated from Pocomoke High School. She worked as a bookkeeper at Draperies Etc. in Milford for 22 years prior to retirement. Mrs. Kniceley was a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church and the Milford VFW Post #6483 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to read and enjoyed needlework, embroidering and crocheting. Mrs. Kniceley had a green thumb: especially when it came to growing African Violets. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her husband John E. Kniceley preceded her in death. She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Shockley (Davis), Ruth Ann Dickerson (John); three grandchildren, Timothy D. Schockley (Tina), John Douglas Dickerson, Jr. (Kim) and Erika Lynn Lippincott (John). Also, five great grandchildren, Lindsay Rebecca and Jason Timothy Schockley, Jacob Dickerson, Tristan Walden and Lydia Scherzer; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, where friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for a viewing. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Lincoln United Methodist Church, PO Box 85, Lincoln, DE 19960. guestbook>
