CRISFIELD — The second of Crisfield’s 4th Saturday Bay Strolls — a monthly celebration of arts and music — is this Saturday, June 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the vicinity of the City Dock.

“Our first event was a huge success and we can’t wait to see everyone again this month,” stated Jennifer Rafter, the city’s grants administrator. “Each month has a different theme, free live music, and shopping with local artists. You can also experience the unique culture of Crisfield and learn about its history from local non-profits like the Crisfield Heritage Foundation.”

This month bring a lawn chair and relax to the live music with Emily Guemple sponsored by Watermen’s Inn. It is also game night, with hula-hoop, a giant Jenga and tic-tac-toe, or checkers.

The Passport to Crisfield game gives a chance for prizes for both kids and adults. Prizes for the Passport game include the following, with more being added all the time: a giant “Jenga” set, Tangier Island Cruises trip for two adults and two children on board the Steven Thomas, and items from Somers Cove Marina and Landon’s Flowers.

Return your completed Passport at any 4th Saturday event before the end of the season for a chance to win.

This month’s featured artist is Kathy Green of Nature’s Gifts. The sales of her photography is being applied towards a book she is writing about nature. She said, “It’s about reconnecting people with nature: to learn to appreciate, respect and fall in love with it again. I take the reader on a seasonal journey to awaken their senses to help relieve stress and reflect on how the simple things in life can bring joy and peace.”

4th Saturday Bay Strolls are sponsored by the Somerset County Arts Council, WBYC 107.3 Crisfield Community Radio and the City of Crisfield. For more information on participating visit crisfieldarts.org.
