Barbara V. Rash

WYOMING - Barbara V. Rash, of Wyoming, passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 84. Barbara was born on July 25, 1926, in Dover, daughter of the late Gooden and Elizabeth (Reed) Voshell. She had worked for the State of Delaware as a school bus driver. Barbara will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Modern Maturity Center, Red Hatters and enjoyed line dancing until her health declined. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William C. Rash in 1995. Barbara is survived by her son, Mikel W. Rash and his wife Anita of Dover; and a daughter, Jill R. Knight and her husband Robert E. of Magnolia; four grandchildren, Amanda MacDonald, Jessica Rash, Sara Knight, and Joshua Knight; a great-grandson, Travis MacDonald; and a brother, Richard Voshell of Summerville, S.C. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934; or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
