HENDERSON, MD - Barbara Lee LePore Speights, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009, in the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. She was 69. She was born October, 21, 1939, in Ridgely, Md., to the late Leslie and Mary Louise Bennett Wyatt. Mrs. Speights was a 1957 graduate of Greensboro High School. She was a homemaker, serving as a loving mother and grandmother for her family. She worked for the city of Dover for the last 10 years as a Senior Citizen Bus Driver and had worked for International Latex Corporation for five years. In addition to her parents, she was precede in death by her first husband, Steve LePore in 1981. She is survived by her husband of 6 years, James Speights; one son, Leslie A. LePore and wife Joan of Goldsboro, Md.; two daughters, Teresa Simms and husband Ron of New Market, Md., and Stephanie Stubbs and husband James of Henderson, Md.; one sister, Mary Lou Riddleberger of Greensboro, Md.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 05, 2009, at Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, MD 21639. burial will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, Md.
