Barbara Jeanne Ryan Wolfensberger, 53 DOVER - Barbara Jeanne Ryan Wolfensberger, of Dover, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, in Kent General Hospital. She was 53. Barbara was born Jan. 30, 1955, in Wilmington, to Evelyn Bair Ryan and the late Albert Charles Ryan Jr. She was an energetic and well liked person. Barbara ran her own successful business for 15 years in Dover. She was educated in Switzerland at the American Fashion College in Luzern. She liked people and people liked her. Barbara loved her animals and enjoyed going to the beach, traveling and the company of her friends. Barbara is survived by her mother, Evelyn B. Ryan; her former husband, Daniel William Wolfensberger; her daughter, Christian Mathers and her husband Daniel Patrick; her grandson; Aidan Patrick Mathers; her brother, Albert Charles Ryan III "Terry" and his partner Tatlana Pomalkai Taylor Kaneholani. A celebration of life will be held, 2 p.m. Sunday, in 13 Hidden Creek Way, Woodfield, Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 5610 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 or Central Delaware Intergroup, P.O. Box 853, Dover, DE 19901. Local arrangements by Torbert Funeral Chapels. Letters of condolences may be sent, and guestbook signed, at torbertfuneral.com.
