Barbara H. Kimmey, 76 CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - Barbara H. Kimmey, 76, of Castle Rock, Colorado, died April 21, 2010, at Sky Ridge Hospital in Lone Tree, Colorado. Barbara was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Milford, the daughter of the late Harry and Florence Herrington. Barbara graduated from Milford High School. She worked at L. D. Caulk Company in Milford for 19 years before retiring due to disability. She moved to Everett, Washington, in the mid 1990s to be cared for by her daughter, Joy. In 1998, she moved with Joy to Castle Rock, Colo. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, doing word search puzzles, and watching sports on television. Her sister, Patsy Warren, and her daughter, Patty Kimmey, precede her in death. She is survived by her two daughters, Joy Kimmey of Castle Rock, Colo., and Gae Piotti of Wilmington; and five grandchildren, Sean Murray, Jason Murray and Kelsey Murray of Castle Rock, Colo., and Keith Piotti and Beth Piotti of Wilmington. Other survivors include her brother, Bruce Herrington of Harrington; her nephew, Tim Warren of Magnolia; and nieces, Robbin Nicholson of Millington, Md., Cristal Payne of Still Pond, Md., and Stacy Buck of Harrington. A service was held from 11 a.m. until noon, Friday, April 30, at Berry-Short Funeral Home at 119 NW Front Street, Milford. Burial took place at Milford Community Cemetery immediately following.
