Barbara Ann Steffen, 68

MARYDEL - Barbara Ann Steffen, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009, in Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 68. She was born Oct. 9, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late Frank and Agnes Wisniewski Mathea. Barbara Ann was a homemaker who enjoyed bingo, crafts, and NASCAR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. Steffen; and a grandson, Chad. She is survived by a son, Frederick Steffen Jr. and his fiancé Loretta of Dover; daughter, Debbie Steffen and her fiancé Larry Thomas of Dover; daughter and her husband, Robin and Robert Esler of Clayton; sister and her husband, Mary Ann and Chuck Costello of Wisconsin; niece and her husband, Tammy and Gilley, and their son Brandon Gillesson of Wisconsin; beloved friend, Paul Parton of Camden; grandchildren, Christina B., James, Desiree, Shayne and his wife Dee, Niesha and her fiance Gene, Christina, Erica and her husband Mike, and Donald; a great-granddaughter, Shelby; and two great-grandsons, Sonny and Josh. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
