MILFORD - Barbara A. Donnellan, of Milford, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at her home. She was 64. Mrs. Donnellan was born on June 8, 1945, in Hoboken, N.J., daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (O'Connell) DeCamp. She was employed for several years as a secretary with AT&T in New York City leaving that position and spending the next 15 years as a full time homemaker and devoted mother. She later returned to work as a teacher's aide with the Westbrook Elementary School and was also a member of the West Milford Board of Education both located in New Jersey before retiring. Barbara enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family who fondly remember being raised on her famous "tassies" and lasagna. She was a devout servant of the Lord, like an angel on earth, touching many lives through teaching bible studies, Sunday school and in her everyday life. She was an active member of the New Life Baptist Church in Milford. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Hubert J. Donnellan; two sons; Craig A. Donnellan and Joshua C. Donnellan; a daughter, Holly Novak; a sister, Patricia Mohr; and five grandchildren; Jacob, Jessie, Mariana, Grace and Caleb. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18, at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may greet the family one hour prior. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Young Life, PO Box 2920, Colorado Springs, CO, 80901-2920.
