Audrey J. Evans, 81 WYOMING - Audrey J. Evans, 81, of Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010, in her daughter's home. She was born on March 12, 1929, in Wilmington, daughter of the late William and Martha (Conner) Seward. Audrey was a homemaker and enjoyed canning, going to yard sales and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Evans; two brothers, William and Samuel; and two grandchildren, Phillip Evans, and Todd White. Audrey is survived by four children, Curtis James and his wife Debbie, A. Joyce Schurter and her husband Joe, Karen Evans and her husband Chuck, and Nancy Maynard; a brother, Carl; a sister, Marjorie Needles; eight grandchildren, Ronald Schurter, Catherine Schurter, Michael Schurter, Tasha Calloway, Crystal Hammond, Justin Maynard, James Maynard, and Jason Clark; 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; former daughter-in-law, Trenia Evans; seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Virgil Evans, Irene Gooden, Alice Blankenship, Margaret Ooten, H.P. Evans, Bertha Welsh, and Harvey Evans; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633.
