MAGNOLIA - Arthur Jay DeVeau passed away suddenly of a heart attack, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in Bayhealth/Sussex Campus, Milford.
Jay was born February 23, 1958 in Dover, DE to Florence (Smith) DeVeau Frost & the late Chauncey Henry DeVeau. He was a member of the Caesar Rodney High School Class of 1977.
Jay was a very friendly person with a big heart who enjoyed helping people, and was blessed with the "Gift of Gab". He loved the Holidays, Christmas being his favorite, and liked to go shopping for antiques.
In addition to his father; Jay was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Ann Parkowski; his father & mother-in-law, Samuel & Margaret Faulkner; his step-father, Stanley C. Frost; his step-mother, Mary DeVeau; a brother-in-law, Samuel Faulkner, Jr.; and a nephew, Donnie Appenzeller.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Brenda (Faulkner) DeVeau; his mother, Florence Frost, of Dover; a brother, Jeffrey Scott DeVeau (Mary Jane), of Felton; three nieces, Alex Parkowski (Dan), of Middletown, Jennifer Biddle (Shane), of Felton and Ashley Best (Andy), of Dover; his sister-in-law, Mamie Appenzeller (Don), of Cape Charles, Virginia; great-nephew, Dustin Appenzeller; and two great-nieces, Emma & Taylor Appenzeller, all of Cape Charles, Virginia; and long time friend, Kevin Tisdell, of Milford.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; with a visitation two hours before. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery, Sandtown, DE.
