Arthur E. (Gene) 'Pop' Stayton HARRINGTON - Arthur E. (Gene) "Pop" Stayton, of Harrington, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010. He was 88. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Lynn; brothers, Homer, Wilson, Herbert, and Willard Stayton; and sisters, Ruth Joseph, Delema Wilson, Sarah Williamson, and Ethel Sherman. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth D. "Betty" Stayton; son and daughter-in-law, John Eugene and Joyce Stayton; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 22, at Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
