SOC--GERMAN ROUNDUP

Union Berlin ends Bayern Munich’s record 16-game winning streak with 2-2 draw in Bundesliga

SUMMARY: Bayern Munich has finally failed to win a game this season. Dutch defender Danilho Doekhi struck twice for Union Berlin, holding Bayern to a 2-2 draw in the Bundesliga on Saturday. This result ends Bayern’s record 16-game winning start to the season. It could have been worse for Bayern, but Harry Kane scored in stoppage time to avert the team’s first defeat. Bayern had been hoping to match its Bundesliga-record 10-game winning start from 2015. Union Berlin dominated much of the match, with Doekhi’s goals setting off wild celebrations at Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

Werner’s NFL career ended after three seasons because of injuries, but he’s become a superstar in his home country as a TV commentator and media personality. He co-hosts a popular podcast and is credited with helping popularize the sport in Germany. Saturday’s event was a Colts rally a day before Indianapolis faces the Atlanta Falcons for the NFL’s first regular-season game in the German capital.

No. 20 USC pulls off fake punt after the Trojans’ 3rd-string QB switches to punter’s uniform number

SUMMARY: No. 20 Southern California pulled off a remarkable fake punt against Northwestern by unexpectedly sending out third-string quarterback Sam Huard in the same uniform number as the Trojans’ punter. The trickery extended the Trojans’ second drive, which ended in a TD run by Jayden Maiava.
