Antoinette P. 'Toni' O'Brien Littlejohn, 78
DOVER - Antoinette P. "Toni" O'Brien Littlejohn passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008, at her home in Dover. She was 78.
Born March 17, 1930, in Portsmouth, N.H.
She married William Francis O'Brien Sr. on May 3, 1952.
Toni lived in New Jersey for 30 years before moving to Delaware in 1989.
After the death of her first husband William on June 3 1990, Toni met and married Edward Littlejohn on Oct. 10, 1992.
They resided in Camden-Wyoming for 12 years before moving to Dover in 2002.
Toni worked for AT&T in New Hampshire and New Jersey for more than 25 years.
Throughout her life, she was involved in many volunteer activities in New Jersey and Delaware, including Hospice, Meals On Wheels, AT&T Pioneers, Contact and numerous activities in St. Gregory The Great and Holy Cross Roman Catholic churches.
She enjoyed cooking, card playing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.
Toni is survived by her loving husband, Edward Littlejohn of Dover; her five children and their spouses, Cathi O'Brien of Dallas, Texas, Gina and David Davies of Plano, Texas, Amy and James Kuti of Burlington Township, N.J., Bill and Dawn O'Brien of Princeton Junction, N.J., and Matthew and Amanda O'Brien of Davidson, N.C.; four stepchildren, Stephen and Stephanie Littlejohn of St. Louis, David Littlejohn of Mechanicsville, Md., Susan Machemer of Port St. Joe, Fla., and Mary Bingham of Kihei, Hawaii; and she will be greatly missed by her 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Jim, Kevin, Cassie, Griffin, Alexandra, Bennett, Makenzie, Liam and Campbell; and five step-grandchildren, John, Charles, Madeline, Merideth and Maile Jo.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover.
Interment will be in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville, N.J.
Instead of flowers, the family asks that donations in Toni's name be sent to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
