Anthony G. 'Tony' Allen, 58 NEW CASTLE - Anthony G. 'Tony' Allen, 58, of New Castle, formerly of Lewes, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010. Anthony was born in Lewes on July 19, 1951, to Alfred and Frances Allen. Anthony graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, later he joined the Marines. For several years Anthony worked for the Cape Henlopen School District, later working for himself as an auto mechanic. He is survived by his mother and father, Alfred and Frances Allen of Lewes; his companion, Diane; one son, Michael Allen of Cambridge, Md.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria J. Wardel Harmon of New Castle, and A. Wendy Hanner of New Castle; five brothers, Alfred (Vonnie) Allen of Portsmouth, Va., Wm. (Billy) Allen of New Castle, Jimmy (Karen) Allen of Newark, Richard (Denise) Allen of Danville, Va., and Carlton (Terry) Allen of Jacksonville, Fla. Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, March 5, at John Wesley United Methodist Church, Hwy. 9. Belltown, where a viewing will be two hours prior. A Celebration of Life will be 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 4, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 4082 New Castle Ave., New Castle, where a viewing will be held at 9 a.m. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Services.
