Anthony Eugene Carter, 72
Dover - Anthony Eugene Carter passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022.
He was born March 30, 1950, in Dover to the late Carlton Carter Sr. and Mary Etta Carney.
Mr. Carter graduated from Dover High School. Following school, he was drafted into the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam war. He worked at Scott Paper and Kent/Sussex Industries. He was an avid football fan; his favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved watching old movies and reminiscing with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Carlton Carter Jr. and Return Carter.
Mr. Carter is survived by his two sisters, Ruth Ridgeway, and Gloria Dewey (Matthew); nieces and nephews, Sherry Wilson, Albert Ridgeway Jr, Brandy Ridgeway, Carlton Trainor, Tiffany Giroux, and Brian Clairmont; and a host of great grandnephews and grandnieces.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 1 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Immanuel Union United Methodist Church, 756 Main St, Cheswold, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to his charity of choice, Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org/pp.
