Anna May Matthew

DOVER - Anna May Matthew passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at the Courtland Manor Nursing Home, in Dover. She was 79. Born in Andalusia she resided in Bucks County for many years before moving to Magnolia in 1999. Anna was employed by JC Penny for 17 years. She Square danced for 35 years and was a charter member of Dixie Derby's Square dance club founded in 1980. Anna had enjoyed traveling and camping. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years Russell T. Matthew, Jr.; her two sons, Russell T. Matthew III of Levittown, Pa. and Glenn D. Matthew of Bear, and her sisters, Ruth McLay of Warminster, Pa., and Mary Ella Benson of Val Paraso, Ind. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Jacqueline Matthew of Collingswood, N.J., and Russell T. Matthew IV and his wife Krystal of Levittown, Pa. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Bellevue Ave., Penndel, PA 19047. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Contributions in Anna's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 399 Market St., Suite 102, Phila., PA 19106.
