    Anna Leote, of Dover, Delaware passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Bayhealth Hospital on April, 28, 2025. Ann was born on March 16, 1935 to Peter and Rosa Ziwes in Irrel, Germany, where she grew up during WWII.
    Ann met Vincent (Bob) Leote when he was stationed at Bitburg AFB, Germany. They married on June 4, 1955 and started their family. When he got stationed stateside, Ann was naturalized as an American citizen in 1959. Ann and Bob did several tours overseas so that Ann was able to visit her family in Germany. They traveled with their young family all over Europe and had many adventures while being stationed at Dreux AFB Evereux AFB, France, as well as Torrejon AFB, Spain.
    Ann enjoyed raising her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed knitting. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality and took care of the Chapel at Dover Air Force Base. She also managed the CCD program with the Catholic Church with her husband at Torrejon AFB, Spain. Ann also worked at various places during her life, such as Hess Apparel, the local donut shop and merchandising at the DAFB commissary.
    Ann will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert, and daughter Linda. In addition to her loving husband of almost 70 years, Vincent, she is lovingly remembered by her children, Deborah Bather (Thomas), and Robert Leote (Rebecca). Also by her grandchildren Lauren Steen (Blake), Michael Bather, Brian Tetrick (Jennie), Matthew Tetrick (Nicole), Annalisa Leote (Samuel Inden), and greatgrandchildren Grace and Lily Steen, Cecillia and Theodore Tetrick, and Rowan Tetrick, as well as nieces and nephews.
    Services will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, May 6, 2025 with visitation starting at 10:30 AM at The Funeral Home of Michael J Ambruso, 1175 S State St., Dover, DE 19901. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be made via www.ambruso.com.
