Anna A. Rash, 92 SMYRNA - Anna A. Rash, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Milford memorial Hospital. She was 92. Mrs. Rash was born October 16, 1917 in Millington, Maryland, the daughter of the late Edward B. Tucker and Edith Archer Tucker. She worked in the returns department for Playtex in Dover, Delaware for 30 years and retired in 1978. Mrs. Rash was a member of AARP and the Lillian Smith Sr. Center in Clayton, Delaware. She enjoyed crocheting and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Rash. She is survived by a daughter, Janet M. Meekins and her husband, Leroy of Smyrna; four grandchildren, Thomas Alderson and his companion, Janice Chalas, Jacque Fredericks and her husband, John, Cindy Petrovich and Georgiana Pearce and her companion, Nick Luppino; six great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren and a great great great granddaughter. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, Delaware where friends may call two hours prior to the services. Burial will be in Glenwood cemetery in Smyrna, Delaware. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Lillian Smith Sr. Center, PO Box 76 Clayton, DE 19938. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
