MIDDLETOWN - Angel Renée Gillespie entered into the arms of the Lord on Thursday March 24, 2011, just weeks before her expected arrival. Her mother, brother, sister, and family were looking forward to her being a part of their family and life and will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Florence M. Thompson; and her paternal great-grandfather, Allan Delauder. She is survived by her mother, Ashley Elizabeth Gillespie of Middletown; her brother and sister, James E. Gomez, Jr. and Ariyanna M. Poore, both at home in Middletown; her maternal grandmother, Marjorie E. Gillespie of Smyrna; grandparents, Ernie and Bonnie Carlisle of Clayton; maternal great-grandfather, Eugene S. Thompson of Blackbird; paternal great-grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Delauder of Kenton; her aunt and Godmother, Samantha R. Gillespie of Middletown; and several uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends. Graveside services will be noon, Thursday March 31, 2011, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Faries Funeral Home, 29 S. Main St. Smyrna, DE 19977 to help defray funeral expenses.
