Anastasia Agnes LaFemina, 88 LEWES - Anastasia Agnes LaFemina, formerly of Old Saybrook, Conn., passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010, in Beebe Medical Center, with her daughter Joyce LaFemina at bedside. She was 88. She was born March 10, 1921 in Norwich, Conn., daughter of the late George Louis and Lydia (LaPointe) Bryant. Anne married her husband of 40 years, Francis Joseph LaFemina on January 10, 1949. The family lived and raised their children in Old Saybrook, Conn. She was retired from Chesebrough-Ponds, Inc. of Clinton, Conn. She enjoyed the beach, gardening, bowling and baking for her family, friends and the community. She and her late husband often traveled to his reunions with the 2nd Armored "Hell on Wheels" Division of the U.S. Army. She enjoyed socializing with the Old Saybrook VFW Post 10153, along with her husband, who was secretary of the post at the time. Mrs. LaFemina moved to Delaware in 2005 to reside with her daughter, Joyce and grandson, Justin LaFemina, both of Lewes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Joseph LaFemina (1989); her son, Richard Francis LaFemina (1988); and her dear friend and sister-in-law, Eleanor LaFemina (2002). She is survived by daughter, Christine LaFemina and her partner, Robert Adler of Portsmouth, N.H.; her daughter, Joyce; grandson, Justin; her nephew, Peter Bryant and his wife, Kay Bryant and their family of Vero Beach, Fla.; and her brother-in-law, Theodore LaFemina, surviving husband of Eleanor, and their family of Groton, Conn. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2010, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes. Funeral Services and Burial will follow in Old Saybrook, Conn. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America, 386 Park Avenue South, New York, NY 10016-7374.
