MIDDLETOWN - Amy Mece McDowell Lewandowski went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Amy graduated from Delcastle High School and went on to become a successful graphic artist and advertising/sales manager. She cherished her husband and children who will treasure the memories they all made together. Amy loved getting together with family and friends. She was a great cook who enjoyed traveling and visiting the beach.
Amy is survived by her loving husband, John Lewandowski; children, Shannon, Michael, Brooke, Jason, and Justin; brother, Michael McDowell (Charlotte); and nephews and nieces, James Jr., Brian and Charlotte Ann.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Wilma McDowell; brother, James McDowell; and sister, Karen McDowell.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at Fairwinds Baptist Church, 801 Seymour Ave., Bear, DE 19701 followed by a service in celebration of Amy's life at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in St. Georges Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shannon Lewandowski Educational Fund at any WSFS Bank.
