Amanda 'Mandie' Jean Parsons, 23 MARYDEL, Md. - Amanda "Mandie" Jean Parsons, of Marydel, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in Chester River Hospital, Chestertown. She was 23. She was born on Nov. 15, 1984, in Easton to Dorothy Ann "Dottie" Parsons Jr. Amanda attended the Denton Special Education Program until she was 16 years old. She loved angels, Elmo, Spongebob, music and dream catchers. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and care providers who have helped to care for Mandie through the years. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles Parsons Sr.; and her great-aunt, Carolyn McCoy. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her step-father, Timothy A. Delp; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Parsons Sr., all of Marydel; two uncles and their wives, Charles E. and JoAnn Parsons of Pasadena, and John and Lisa Parsons of Marydel; four aunts and their husbands, Carolyn and John Evans, and Katherine and Ben Greason, all of Pasadena, Mary and Charles Delp Jr. of Henderson, and Brenda and Joe Shiflett of Lansdowne; 17 cousins; 18 second cousins; and many maternal great-aunts and uncles. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, where friends may call one hour prior. On-line condolences may be sent via www.fleegleandhelfenbein.com.
