WOODSIDE - Allen Edward Patterson, of Woodside, passed away Friday October 28, 2011, at his home with family. He was born on July 16, 1934, in Dover, to the late Anderson and Nora Bradley Patterson, Sr. He was a member of I.O.U.E. 542 Union as a crane operator for many years. He is preceded in death by his son, Eddie Patterson; daughter, Tina Patterson; brothers, Anderson Jr., Franklin, Robert Patterson; and sister, Betty Newnum. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet Patterson, of Felton; daughter, Brenda Guilfoil of Felton; granddaughter, Kirby Guilfoil; and grandson, Timmy Patterson. Remembrance Services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday November 1, 2011, at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may also call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com.
