MILFORD - Alfred S. Calvanesa, of Milford, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at his home. He was 76. Alfred was born Nov. 23, 1934, in Sharon Hill, Pa., to the late Antonio and Erna Starke Calvanesa. He served his country in the US Army. Alfred worked for M & H Lumber, Wilson Cannon Garage, and Demco Incorp., all of Milford. He graduated from Milford High School in 1952. Alfred enjoyed fishing and gardening. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Anthony "Tony" and Thomas. He is survived by two brothers and their wives, William and Doris Calvanesa of Greenwood and James and Peggy Calvanesa of Milford; a long time special friend, Savaneeya "Ponsi" Batton of Milford; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home in Greenwood.
