Albina F. Vansickel, 80

MILLSBORO - Albina F. Vansickel, of Millsboro, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, in the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 80. Albina was a hostess with the Avenue Restaurant in Rehoboth for 15 years. She enjoyed walking around the beach area of Rehoboth, reading and going to the slots with her lady friends. Albina's husband, James, passed away Oct. 28, 2008. They had been married 40 years. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Concetta Luciano; a sister, Marie Coleman, and brother, John Luciano. She is survived by three sons, Thomas Monroe and wife Karen of Georgetown, Robert Monroe of Pennsylvania and Christopher Gagg and wife Stacey of New York; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her niece and godchild, Debbie Watson and husband Bob of Milton. A visitation will be held Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
