Albert (Bud) T.
Coverdale, Jr.
MILFORD - On December 26, 2023, Bud used the last of his RPMs to ascend into heaven. There he was welcomed by his parents, Albert T. Sr. and Mary Louise, his daughter, Carrie Suzanne, his brothers, James "Big Ed" and Joseph, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bud was born on April 7, 1948, in Milford Hospital. He attended schools throughout the Milford district.
In 1967 he was drafted into the army. During his year assignment in Vietnam, he encountered agent orange daily. This is what caused the cancer which took his life.
Upon discharge from the army, Bud worked at Ellis Auto Body in Dover for 9 years. He then started Bud's Auto Body in Milford for the next 32 years.
Bud raced go karts, sportsman modifieds, and finally micros. He also enjoyed restoring classic cars. His 67 Nova was driven 12 years to Daytona for the Turkey Run.
Bud leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Beverly; his daughter, Amanda and her husband Bryan; his granddaughter, Amaya Wright; his grandson he raised, Dylan Coverdale; his brother, Earl; his nieces, Christine and Jacquie; and his nephews, Greg, Mark, and Matt.
A special thanks you to Aunt Ruth for all the cards and encouragement.
The family will receive visitors at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, from 10AM to 11AM on Saturday 1/6, with a funeral service at 11AM. The family has asked for everyone to dress causal.
Burial will be Barratts Chapel Cemetery.
