Albert Jensen 'Jack' Christensen, 75 MILFORD - Albert Jensen Christensen, of Milford, affectionately known as "Jack" to his many friends in the area, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at Genesis Health Care, Seaford Center. He was 75. Mr. Christensen was born on June 4, 1933, in Houston, son of the late George D. "Jack" and Ella (Walton) Christensen. As a young man, he was employed by Modern Laundry and also maintained the lawns of many local residents. Jack's "labor of love" entailed tending to horses on the farm of Joe and Sara Mae Webb. He was not particularly fond of "Big John" the farm's resident "Steer Horned" bull. He enjoyed telling how when chased by "Big John" he jumped the pasture fence, clearing it by "more than two feet." Jack lived his entire life in Milford. He will be remembered as a gentle and peaceful man who loved animals and enjoyed visiting with family and friends, old cars and trucks, country music and television game shows. He idolized western and country screen and television stars of yesteryear. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Walter Hackney; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by an aunt, Christina Paquette of Milford; a cousin, Randall Christensen and his wife Olga of Wilmington; as well as other cousins and their families. Services will be noon today in Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be held in the Milford Community Cemetery, North Walnut Street, Milford. Instead of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Debbie's Fund for Animals, c/o The Felton Bank, 698A N. DuPont Blvd., Milford, DE 19963.
