Albert J. Pinkerton

MILFORD - Albert J. Pinkerton, Sr. passed away Thursday, Mar. 23, 2017, in New Castle.
Albert was born in Rockledge, Pa., the son of the late John and Jessie Pinkerton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After serving in the Navy, Albert enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, serving in the Air and Sea Rescue Division until his retirement in 1980. He then continued his education by graduating from the Richard Stockton College in Pomona, N.J. with a B.S. Degree in Math and Physics. Following his graduation, Albert worked at the Cape May County Vocational Technical High School in Cape May Courthouse, N.J., retiring in 2000. He was a member of Temple Lodge #9 AF and AM of Milford, and was also a shriner. He enjoyed doing puzzles and Sudoku.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Herma (Britsch) Pinkerton; and his son, Albert J. Pinkerton, Jr.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, Mar. 28, 2017, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, where a Masonic Service will be held at 8 p.m. Burial will be private.
